30 days left and counting!

The countdown has already begun and before you know it November 10th will be right around the corner and The 7 Day Total Cleanse will be out in stores. Until then we at American Yogini will be needing a lot of Yoga and juicing to keep us afloat. And speaking about juicing, we would like to share with you an amazing concoction made by the one and only Mary McGuire-Wien. We don’t have a name for this amazing juice yet so feel free to brainstorm for us if you want.

In your juicer juice:

1 Lemon

4 Apples (We use Gala, but any will do)

3 Carrots

1 inch nob of Ginger

In you blender add the above juiced ingredients plus:

1 tb E3 Live

1 tsp Tocotrenals

1/4 cup Rolled Oats

Blend, pour and enjoy!

Here in North Fork the weather is beautiful. All the farms in the area are teaming with people and the roads are just CROWDED. It seems everyone is out this beautifu; afternoon either picking pumpkins, or the multitude of fresh local produce. Children are running around balencing pumpkins on their heads, riding the hayrides and running around the corn mazes. It is good to go out there and support the local farms and enjoy the seasonal produce before the winter swipes in. Nothing is better than enjoying a fresh juice or smoothie made from the fruits and vegetables in your area.

Today Charles Wildbank was selling his paintings at the West Hampton’s Fall Art’s and Crafts show. If you haven’t seen his paintings you really don’t know what you are missing, check them out here. Most of West Hampton’s Main Street was full of people enjoying the local art and participating in the sidewalk sales in the area. It was just a great day to be outside and walk around aimlessly. After refreshing Charles with one of our Hohm Juices, I headed back home. The streets were so congested and the route I took back happened to be blocked of so I decided to take a scenic route and stop by one of the pumpkin picking patches in the area. This photo to the left was taken of a beautiful display of locally grown flowers covering a horse sculpture (which of course happened to be dragging a carrage full of pumpkins). You can’t really see it but just behind the horse was a massive line of people waiting to get their fill of homemade Apple Cider, cooked Corn on the Cob with butter and the various different types of fresh baked pies. I could truely feel the autumn weather in the air.
