We want you to save your senses for the colorful rainbow of juices you will be consuming once you finish reading it. These juices appeal to your senses and even deeper into your core. I know when I juice I feel instantly refreshed and vitalized. BTW, have you tried the green juice listed in our last post. Not 5 minutes from posting that blog did I make one of my own. You can be creative with it too, I substituted spinach for chard since that is what I had handy. Being one with a sweet tooth, my sugar cravings were curbed once I consuming this green juice recipe.
Here at American Yogini we like to treat ourselves every once in a while with some gourmet raw food. Mostly we keep it simple with fresh fruit and vegetable juices or something creative from the garden like an herb salad, but every once in a while its nice to treat ourselves with a not-so-guilty pleasure. What better than PIZZA . . .

. . . Raw Pizza that is. And trust me, it hits the spot. Be creative with it. Try whatever toppings you want, keep it simple or pile them on. The variations are only limited by your imagination. If you have a dehydrator handy make your own crust, unless you have access to a place that sells raw bread, you can buy it and save yourself the time. I say go for fresh crust, almond pulp and flax seeds work best. Next you can make your own base or raw tomato sauce. When I’m in a lazy mood I mush avocado with a bit of sea salt and use that as the base. After the base, pile on your toppings. Like I mentioned before, there is no limit. Some good toppings are:
Tomato, avocado, onion, mushroom, peppers, herbs, sprouts, nut cheese, etc.
Slice them, pile them on and enjoy!
You can use any raw bread/cracker recipe for the crust, just form it into a pie shape and gently divide into slices with the back of a knife before dehydrating (between 12-24 hours). You can add some herbs and spices for a unique flavor and you can even add vegetables to the crust for added flavor and texture. There is no standard recipe and the sky is the limit.
Enjoy,
Your friends at American Yogini
